When a very small edition
of The Mint was published in the United States, copies had to be
deposited in the Library of Congress. An American reviewer, Henry Seidel
Canby, went there to read the book and published an exclusive article
about it in the Saturday Review of Literature. The contents of
this were taken up by the American and British press. |
